About the R.A.E. Vietnam Association (Inc.) The R.A.E. Vietnam Veterans Association (Inc.) was formed in 1982 by a group of persons interested in re-establishing Friendships made during the Vietnam War. They decided that: The Association would provide a means of reforming friendships made by members of the Royal Australian Engineers and attached units during active service in the Vietnam War. They would organize the participation of the Association in the Anzac Day March, with a re-union function following the march, as well as the participation of the association in the Long Tan Day March. The Association would offer assistance to members and their families as required. The Association should encourage the recognition and celebration of the achievements and history of the the R.A.E. in Vietham.
